[ARCHIVE_02] THE CHRONICLE: STORYTELLING THROUGH THE AGES
[LOG_TYPE: ANTHROPOLOGICAL_SURVEY]
Storytelling is the only ritual that has never been abandoned. As an anthropologist, I view the transition from Paleolithic cave art to modern real-time rendering as a single, continuous line of human intent. We have always sought to "step into" the story.
The Sagnamenn project is an attempt to reclaim the sovereignty of the bard. Throughout the ages, storytelling was a local, communal act. The modern "Hive-Mind" and corporate cloud have centralized our myths, making them sterile. We are looking back at the oral traditions and the epic cycles to remember how to build stories that actually "haunt" and “inspire” the viewer.
STATUS: Analyzing the transition from Oral tradition to Real-Time immersion.
